To perform a check, GtkOprhan first needs to be installed:
$ sudo apt-get install gtkorphan
$ sudo gtkorphan
Blender,3D,Quandtum,Modelling,Texturing,Animation,Rigging,Skinning,Linux,Ubuntu,C/C++
GtkOrphan (Home Page) is a graphical tool that can be used to find and remove orphaned library files. These orphaned files can be left over from an uninstall or an upgrade that no longer uses old dependencies. To perform a check, GtkOprhan first needs to be installed: $ sudo apt-get install gtkorphan To run GtkOrphan either use the application launcher or run (as root) from a terminal: $ sudo gtkorphan Once it launches it will check the system and display all orphaned packages that it has located. Simply select the packages you want removed and remove them.
